Goff & Goff Prevents Debtor From Obtaining a Bankruptcy Discharge Due to Fraud
Bankruptcy | 05.10.16
Goff & Goff was hired by bankruptcy trustee Jeffrey Weinman to investigate the financial affairs of a debtor whose story regarding the disposition of his inheritance did not add up. After investigating the case, attorney Goff learned that the Debtor was concealing $20,000 in cash and that a friend had helped him create a false story to conceal the true state of affairs. Mr. Goff negotiated a settlement with the non-debtor co-conspirator, and moved successfully to deny the debtor a bankruptcy discharge. Weinman v. Ryskiewicz, Adv. Proc. No. 15-1137 EEB.
